This ends on a cliff-hanger. Just thought I’d throw that out there first, because I didn’t realize. I don’t mind cliff-hangers, I just like to know in advance.
The premise of the book intrigued me and for the most part it played like I thought. Xavier’s character is more of a jerk than I as expecting though. He’s become quickly obsessed with Lola, but the name calling and the way he constantly demeans her is a little too much. I realize it’s his way of keeping her from developing feelings for him, but still.
I actually like Lola’s character. She’s young, but for the most part, knows what she wants. She’s a good friend, even when the friend is a pain, and she doesn’t let Xavier run over her…too much.
Hopefully Xavier redeems himself in the next book.
