The first book in the Sanctuary Falls series does not disappoint. Berkely and Nick are fire and ice and then fire again. The one thing that stood out to me, was even though Nick had “ambivalent” feelings about Berkely, when the chips were down, he was right there beside her ready to support her.
The were indicators early on about who the real killer was, but the reveal towards the end of the book was still a bit of a jolt. I also enjoyed how all of the supporting characters took center stage at some point in the story and we got to know them as well as Nick and Berkely.
This is a very easy read and doesn’t feel rushed. I didn’t even realize the time had passed when I finished the book. Looking forward to the rest of the serries.
