Kimi and Takoda have a past. One forged by friendship, love, and loss.
I really enjoyed Kimi’s character in this book. She took charge and went after what she wanted. And what she wanted was Takoda and to find out what mess her father had gotten her into. While she wasn’t looking for danger she didn’t let people push her around. When someone attacked her, she fought back and fought hard. All she wanted was a chance with Takoda and she took every opportunity she could to force him to either face his feelings for her or set her free.
The action kept me on the edge of my seat. They were getting out of sticky situation after sticky situation. The ending just proved how strong Kimi really was.
