Now I know these Ancients are warriors and hard and very bad-ass. And they are. But Orion was just so dang sweet. Taking care of Violet, her sisters and the town, just the whole big brother-protector vibe gave me the goosies.
Really loved this book and the two secondary stories within the main story kept me engaged.
This fictional world is so amazing to me. These characters are dealing with a whole new world and accepting of things that they could have never imagined. It speaks to the resiliency of humankind.
