What a great story! Charlie and Brian are like the lion and the lion tamer.
This addition to the Cowboy State Lawmen series is full of twists and I love it.
If you think you know what’s going on, YOU DON’T! And that is the beauty of this story. The author leads you one way, while dropping crumbs for you to pick up, but YOU DON’T, and when that twist in the road happens, you can do nothing but shake your head and forge down that new road full steam ahead.
I liked how Brian was very patient with Charlie. He knew she was gun shy and although he pushed a little, ultimately, he let her slowly fumble her way to learning how to trust not only him, but her feelings for him as well.
These characters in this fictional town are so relatable, I look forward to each installment in this series.
