I think I’ve said this before, but Juno Rushdan’s book are so immersive, I feel like I’m watching a movie.
Book 2 of the Fugitive Heroes series focuses on hacker Zee and retired Navy Seal John. They are neighbors who want to be more than neighbors but each have secrets that keep them from fully changing their relationship status. That is until someone sets out to kill them.
The story is fast paced and action-packed. There are some little surprises that give that “wow” moment throughout the book. I read this in one night because I simply couldn’t put it down. I wanted to know “what happens next”.
All the characters, whether good or bad, lent something to the story. There wasn’t, IMO, a throw-away character and helped move the story along.
I normally don’t read stories out of order, however this is book 2 in the series and I will go back and read book 1, just to get a little back story and understand the dynamic of some of the supporting cast that turn up in the book.
This is a great book and I expect an even better series.
