I always like the “fake” romances that turn real. I think it’s because as the reader you already know that both characters are feeling each other, but for whatever reason they keep “pretending” that the romance is fake… until it isn’t.
Now, this fake romance was really just a way, I think for Nash to make his intentions known to Ivy. There really wasn’t a reason for it for the storyline, but that is actually what made it fun. I don’t think Nash was ever pretending and it kept Ivy on her toes which was fun to read.
Ivy and Nash both have dangerous jobs and them working together after knowing each other for so long, just solidified their partnership in more ways than one.
The story actually moved along pretty quickly even when Nash and Ivy weren’t the main characters for parts of the storyline. Thoroughly enjoyed this Red Stone addition.
