Review:
I was really looking forward to reading Carter’s story. He’d been mentioned throughout each of the books in the series and just “showed up” in Caden’s book ready to take charge.
And by take charge, I mean take over. This was alpha, dominant, Carter at his finest. He came for Serenity and no matter how much she protested, she was taken by Carter again.
First loves bittersweet, but Carter and Serenity’s relationship had so much going against them. I wasn’t prepared for their backstory. As much as this was about their future, their past and how they got to where they are was not only necessary, but riveting.
There is somewhat of a twist, maybe more like a shocker instead f a twist. I honestly didn’t see it coming but everything made perfect sense once I got over the shock. The way it was revealed was also in time with the characters, so it was like you were living the moment with them instead of already knowing and waiting for them to catch up.
Really a good storyline.
MVP Character: Carter’s backup
