Linc is a VERY intense character. I honestly would not have guessed it. Previews of the character from previous books and even in the beginning of this story portrayed him as a jokester and someone who doesn’t take life too seriously. That is until his partner Blair is threatened, then all bets are off.
Blair is an independent woman who can take care of herself. As much as she doesn’t need anyone, her need for Linc is very surprising and unsettling. She is having a hard time dealing with her feelings for him and that can be dangerous.
The story line was action packed and kept evolving. Cynthia Eden is known for throwing a curve ball in her stories to keep you guessing until the very end, but even still I was surprised at who was behind all the mayhem.
