This is the prequel to Satisfaction Guaranteed. It really should have been a prologue instead of a separate novella.
The characters meet fall in insta love/lust but can’t “connect” because Malone just partnered with Sloane’s father in his vet business. Kind of a lame excuse but oh well.
The prequel ends with Malone telling Sloane on a street corner that they can’t be together and she just says OK and leaves. HUH? I’m not sure I want to read the full story because these characters seem a little silly to me.
