MOUTH TO MOUTH by TESSA BAILEY

Book Blurb:

A man with a prison record has no place around a fresh faced college student. Tell that to Rory Prince. He should stay the hell away from Olive Cunningham. There’s one small problem, though. She won’t stop almost getting killed—and with this too-smart, too-sweet girl holding his heart in her hands, Rory is powerless to do anything but keep saving her. Home schooled from a young age, Olive is now out on her own and discovering the world, one milkshake flavor at a time. Until recently, she has experienced life through books. She’s walked in a million sets of shoes while flipping pages—enough to know that Rory gives her once-in-a-lifetime feelings. If only he would stop trying to protect her…from himself.

Review:

The story seemed rushed. They fell in love/lust in one day, broke up the next day, back together after not speaking for 2 weeks, and broke up again like 2 days later, only to reconcile and profess their undying love in the rain 3 days later.

The angst I was expecting from the bread crumbs sprinkled at the beginning of the story never happened. His prison sentence, not really a big deal. Their age difference, no conflict there. Her family issues – meh – kinda, but only for about 5 pages.

I think this story had potential, but for me, fell a little short. There were lots of NSFW scenes, but I really didn’t feel the chemistry.

I actually was more interested in Andrew and Jiya. Seems as if there is something going on there.
