Review:
Not as intense as the first book, but an ok read overall. I think it had potential to be a little more emotional and drama filled, but it just didn’t pull on those threads enough.
The entire book had a sense of melancholy hanging over it, so that was the mood I was reading it in. Yes, there are some serious sad moments, but it’s not those isolated incidents, it’s the entire story.
I was excited to start the second book, but just ended up being sad when it was all over.
