Book Blurb:
Her past has taught her to be wary…
With an abusive relationship behind her, wolf shifter Leslie is quietly raising her young son in the Kendrick pack. If she’s occasionally lonely, it’s a small price to pay for her son’s safety. And if she’s secretly longing for pack alpha Malcolm Kendrick, well…she’s keeping that fantasy to herself. Experience has made her a realist, and they’re far too different to work.
This alpha is about to stake his claim…
She has no idea Malcolm wants her just as fiercely. That he’s been subtly courting her for a year. But subtlety has gotten him nowhere—even if he thought it was the best choice after what she’d been through. He wanted to make sure Leslie didn’t feel obligated to him, that she was truly ready to move on. Now that he knows she is, he’s determined to make sure it’s with him. And when a threat from her past surfaces, he’ll eliminate anyone who would dare to hurt his mate.

Review:
Chosen Mate is Malcolm and Leslie’s story. If you read the previous novella (Jaguar’s Mate), then you are familiar with Leslie. She was the one that was rescued from the abusive relationship in another pack. Well, now she’s back and ready to get back out there, well get with the Alpha.
Malcolm is the Alpha of the Kendrick pack and he has wanted Leslie since she arrived. But because of her previous situation, he wants to make sure that she’s ready for a real relationship.
I though it was cute how neither of them knew about the their mutual feelings. Even though other pack mates have been pushing them together, neither seemed to realize that they wanted each other. The threat of Leslie going on a date with someone else, finally pushed Malcolm into making the first move.
This was a sweet love story. There was a small threat towards the end of the book, but it didn’t really impact the story to me. Just watching the relationship unfold and Leslie finally coming into her own again was worth the read.
I’ve said this before, but it’s really true. Reading the Crescent Moon series is a lot like catching up with friends in your old home town that you haven’t seen in awhile. You catch up on the town happenings and updates as well as any new comers and their lives. These stories are always a good read.
Favorite Scene : Chapter 3
Malcolm and Hudson’s interaction is sibling culture at it’s finest.
