This book totally gives me James Bond vibes. Agent X, who later goes by the name of Huntley is a total bad ass. Sent on her first mission to protect the Prince of Montovia, she falls for both the Prince and Vice President’s son, as well as gaining the respect of an MI6 super spy.
The writing is sincere and witty and I was invested immediately in most of the characters. Just like James Bond, this is more of an action adventure story than a romance. There are some sexy scenes and I was happy with how the males in the book did not judge Huntley for her sexuality, but reveled in it.
Since this is a series, I’m hoping some of the characters in the first book make future appearances and Huntley’s dilemma between Daniel and Lorenzo heats up.
There is a secondary story line involving Huntley’s past and how it connects to her current mission and possibly why her parents were killed. I look forward to reading the rest of the series.
