I have to say I wasn’t too sure about this book at first. A married man going after a younger woman. How is this true love? But once I really got into the story, WOW! Bell and Dario are absolutely meant for each other.
They way the relationship progressed felt real. There were reservations on both sides. Again, Dario is married plus his father-in-law is a very dangerous man. Any hint of a relationship with Bell, puts her in mortal danger.
The suspense factor is perfect, not too over the top. Just enough to keeps readers mindful that this isn’t a nice, soft romance.
This is a duet and does end on a cliff hanger. And oh boy what an ending! I would not have guessed this at all. With the danger that Bell is in because of her relationship with Dario, I was thinking a kidnapping.. but this… just WOW.
Going to hunker down and get into book 2.
Favorite Scene: Chapter 32
The last chapter is heart pounding and literally explodes these characters world apart.
