Book Blurb:
I just had the best sex of my life with New York’s most eligible playboy bachelor, billionaire Preston Easterbrook. There are only three problems.
#1: He’s my brother’s best friend.
#2: I can’t stand the man, and he can’t stand me either.
#3: I’m pregnant now and the baby is his.
Actually, make that four problems. After I told Preston he was going to be a dad, he chased me down on the street and proposed marriage. Unfortunately, the paparazzi were there too. I fell during all the commotion, hit my head, and now I can’t remember anything.
When I wake up with amnesia, I’m being cared for by the New York’s sexiest bachelor. Supposedly I hated this guy, but I can’t figure out why. He’s strong and successful. He’s loving and patient. He treats me like I’m the only girl he’s ever wanted. Was I too blind to see it all these years, or is there something really big I’m forgetting? Maybe it’s best if I don’t remember. There’s a wedding coming up, and I don’t want this fairy tale to end.

Review:
This was just ok for me. I think this book has the potential to be something good, but the characters really seemed one dimensional to me and weren’t developed enough to carry the story.
The book is told entirely from Tachell’s point of view and since she has amnesia 90% of the book, I don’t really get her relationships with the other characters. Because she has no feelings one way or the other for them, neither do I. Preston is the only one she’s lusting for and tethered to, but even that feels insincere. The “evil” mother-n-law, who miraculously loves her now after witnessing a few girls bullying her just didn’t sit right. It was too easy. The best friend, brother, and mom who knew part of why she didn’t like Preston (which actually was a legitimate gripe) kept that from her for no apparent reason other than. “well that’s just Preston looking out for you.” Then when she gains her memory back and remembers the real reason she should’t marry this man, it was kind of a let down. That she was harboring that much hate just didn’t pass the smell test.
There were also some grammatical and spelling errors that had me re-reading a few paragraphs just to make sure I understood what was going on. Nothing to major, but a nuisance none the less.
Cutest Scene: Chapter 15
It’s cute he cooked for me. I decide I will eat them all, no matter how bad they are. I steel my reserve as I pick up a fork.
“You’re going like these,” he tells me.
“Oh yeah?’
“Yeah,. In fact after one bite, you’re going to beg me to marry you.”
I set down my fork. “That’s a pretty big claim.”
He nods at the plate in front of me. “Those are pretty damn good pancakes. One taste, and you’re gonna want them every morning for the rest of your life.”
“Is that so?”
“It is.” He looks down. “So if you don’t think that sounds like a good deal, maybe you shouldn’t eat them.”
My heart start pounding so hard my entire body shakes. “Preston, are you proposing to me?”
Hew glances up at me, a wicked light in his eyes. “Maybe. Take a bite and see.”
