Fate intervenes, and Julio feels betrayed when he meets his daughter. He falls in love with Maliah and is determined to win Alex’s heart. As they co-parent, Alex rediscovers the spark that brought them together years ago. When the opportunity comes for Julio to rise to national celebrity chef status, will he choose Alex and Maliah? Review:

Seductive Nights is the third book in the Night Series featuring the Castro siblings. He is the last of the siblings to find love. Technically he was the first, but he threw it all away to make his restaurant business a success.

Fast forward 4 years later. His younger siblings are coupled up with children and he is living with regrets. A chance meeting at a grocery store, brings his past love back into his life, along with a child he never knew he had.

This story asks the question, if you could have a second chance with your first love would you take that chance? Are some hurts just too deep to heal? With a child now involved those answers aren’t as quick and easy. As much as I applauded Julio for being a stand up guy and taking responsibility I completely understood Alex’s reservations about becoming an insta family. This story definitely makes you think about the choices you make and how they affect you and others close to you.

I enjoyed Alex’s sisters, Joey and Sammie, especially Sammie. Maybe she will get her own story as well. She needs a good man to knock her off her high horse, lol.

Favorite Scene: Chapter 24

“I love you, Alex and I’m sorry for everything.”
“I love you, too,  And please stop apologizing.  I played a role in what happened
between us.  I should’ve told you I was pregnant right away.”
He no longer blamed her for not coming clean about her situation.
Though he’d have done the right thing, he understood why she was afraid he
wouldn’t have been a stand-up type of guy.
Releasing her, he cupped one side of her face.  “Are we going to start over?”
Alex bit her bottom lip.  “If that’s what you want.”
“You’re joking? You have to be. Alex, I’ve been thinking of everything, every
way to convince you that I want you.  And I’m not talking about just for now.
I’m talking long-term.”
He didn’t want to bring up ‘forever’ too afraid she might get skittish and
pull back.
Alex grinned and Julio debunked his theory.
“Is that why you’ve been sending me yummy pastries every week from that
bakery I love in New York?  Along with your little love notes?  And why you keep
asking me out on a date?  And why you told your family I’m your lady?”
Alex’s smite was teasing when she said, “I don’t remember you asking me
to be your lady.  I’m not even going to mention you trying to seduce me in my
daddy’s house after Maliah’s in bed with your roaming hands and wicked lips.
Or, your past midnight calls wanting to know what I’m wearing.”  She stopped
to lovingly cup his jaw.  “I love the fact that you’re so considerate, and how you
want to know about my day.”
Julio turned his head to kiss the palm of her hand.  He wondered what sh’ed
think if she knew he’d been looking at engagement rings, and thinking about
which neighborhood she’d like to buy a house in?
“You don’t have to convince me anymore, Julio.  I’m all in.”
