Review:
It’s been awhile since I’ve read a Harlequin Presents book. I was going through some author websites to see their back list and stumbled upon this one from Lynn Raye Harris. I am a fan of her Hot Operations Team series and didn’t know she had written for Harlequin.
It’s a quick read and a little spicier than I remember the Presents line being, but in a good way. Emily, although she starts out as the Sheikh’s PA is not afraid to speak her mind. Kadir recognizes not only Emily’s sacrifices in being his PA, but how her presence has meant a lot to him over the years. I always enjoy reading these books from time to time because the formula is familiar. It’s like a comfy blanket. There are a few throwaway characters littered through out to move the story along, but the meat of the book focuses on the changing relationship between Kadir and Emily. Rashid, Kadir’s brother does make an appearance at the end of the book to help segue into his story. Overall good read.
Favorite Scene: Chapter 6
"You really are too full of yourself," she said. "Not every woman wants a ride on your magic
mattress.,"
He felt his eyebrows climb his forehead. "Magic mattress?"
She shrugged. A soft flush stained her cheeks.
"Whatever you call your love nest, Kadir. Not every woman on this planet wants a turn.
It would be healthier for you if you'd stop thinking so."
